Despite his NBA stardom and millionaire status, Steven Adams remains incredibly humble and down to earth. His approachable demeanor makes him relatable to people of all ages. I remember my first encounter with him like it was yesterday.

Adams has always made an effort to give back to the New Zealand basketball community in his own terms: @stevenadamscamps designed to elevate and inspire young Kiwi Hoopers.

It makes me proud that @airmaxton answers “Steven Adams”without hesitation, when someone ask about his favorite basketball player.

I wish I could’ve told Steven why he deserved all the @whittakersnz chocolates in the world.
