WWJD: WHAT WOULD JACK DO (JACK SALT)

Jake Salt, the first and only Kiwi that won an NCAA Division 1 Basketball title.  Standing almost 7 feet tall, Salt played for the Tall Blacks when he was only 17 years old. Salt ended up getting a full scholarship at the University of Virginia.

During his last year at Virginia, his team won the NCAA D1 title. A major setback happened just as he was about to take his basketball career to another level. He had to overcome the obstacle and return to professional basketball after two-year hiatus. However, the unthinkable happened to him once again…

I lost that weight and then got injured again with my first practice with my new team…

Early this year, New Zealand basketball community was shocked when Salt announced that he would be retiring from professional basketball after he played for the Brisbane Bullets in NBL.



As Jack moves on to life without basketball, he continues to explore his options on what to do next. His new adventures are just getting started. Watch his interview below to learn about his past, present and future.
