STEVEN ADAMS SETS A NEW FRANCHISE RECORD FOR A SINGLE GAME AND CAREER-HIGH
Steven Adams recorded 16 rebounds during the first half tonight against Charlotte Hornets, setting a Memphis Grizzlies single-game franchise record and career-high for first-half rebounds.
Memphis led by 40 points early 4th quarter, after a Brandon Clarke layup with 10:21 left in the game.
Adams ended the game with 13 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists, plus 2 steals as well as a pair of blocks. And he did all of these in just 22 minutes in FedExForum.
Adams did much more rolling and attacking to the basket this season in comparison to the previous season. So far, Grizzlies has won every game this season when he averages 8.8 points per game, 4.6 offensive rebounds per game and made 65.5% of his field goal.
Dillon Brooks tied his career high with six 3-pointers made out of seven shoots and ended the game with 23 points. Memphis has four players averaging double figures.
Memphis now moved up to the 4th spot in the western conference after this win over Charlotte. The Hornets fall to 3 – 6 in the east.
The Grizzlies will host the Washington Wizards on Sunday at 5 PM CST before hosting the Boston Celtics on Monday.
